Post Application Process (UG)

Step 1

When your online application reaches SCIE along with the payment of Application fee and all the required documents; SCIE will process your application. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been completed the application and paid the application fee does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International University after submission of all the required documents.

Step 2

Processed applications will be forwarded to the Admissions Committee of Symbiosis International University for evaluation. Your application will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Academic Transcripts
  • SET (if applicable)
  • English Proficiency Test (if applicable)
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • Curriculum Vitae


Step 3

SCIE will send you an email informing you about the status of your admission. You will receive a mail mentioning any of the following status depending on evaluations done on your application by 8th June 2012.

  • Provisional Admission - If the Admissions Committee has short-listed your application for admission to Symbiosis International University.
  • Waitlist Letter - If the Admissions Committee has kept your application on hold
  • Regret Letter - If the Admissions Committee has not found your application suitable for admission to Symbiosis International University


Step 4

If you receive a mail mentioning your Provisional Admission at SIU, you need to confirm your intention of joining the said program by making a payment of USD equivalentto INR 85750/-. This includes INR 35750/- as Administrative fees (not refundable) & USD equivalent to INR 50000/- as Part payment of Tuition fees(Administrative fees includes eligibility fees, medical & insurance charges, administration fees, etc.)

All students except those having nationality from Nepal and Bhutan will have to make a payment in USD equivalent of abovementioned INR amount. Kindly ensure that this payment will be done before 18th June 2011.

  • If you are a foreign national then you are required to provide a valid Student's Visa which should be issued in the name of 'Symbiosis International University'. SCIE will issue a "Provisional Admission Letter" only if SCIE receives a payment for Administrative fees & Part payment of tuition fees. Applicant can use this letter as a supporting document while applying for his/her students' visa at the Indian Mission in his/her country.
  • Note -The Visa should be student's Visa and should mention the name of "Symbiosis International University". Any other type of visa is invalid and final admission will not be granted to students who do not have a valid visa. For the interview at the Indian Embassy make sure that you carry relevant documents to prove how you intend to finance your education in India.
  • Applicants who fail to make the payment within the above mentioned deadlines will not be able to secure a provisional admission to 'Symbiosis International University' and their seat will be offered to the next applicant in the Waitlist.
  • For making the payment of Administrative fees & Part payment of Tuition fees; you will have to log in to 'SCIE Online Application' website with your 'SCIE ID'. Then follow Payment instructions mentioned on the website.


Step 5

SCIE will verify and confirm your payment of 'Administrative fees & Part payment of Tuition fees'. Applicant will be considered as 'Provisionally Admitted' to SIU only after confirming the payment of USD equivalent to INR 85750/- within stipulated deadlines.

Step 6

If you have been provisionally admitted to Symbiosis International University then before the commencement of your academic program you will have to report at SCIE to complete admission
formalities; kindly check your respective institute's pages in this prospectus for specific reporting date to SCIE and institute.

Step 7

Make your travel plans to Symbiosis, including your stay, food, transport and other miscellaneous arrangements. If you require an airport pickup at Mumbai/Pune send an email with the below details: Send the details like Your name, Institute applied for, Arriving at Pune/Mumbai Airport, Arrival Date, Flight Number, Airline Name, Local Arrival Time i.e. Indian Standard Time on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it at least 7 working days before your arrival. along with the payment details.

  • The transport cost will be USD equivalent to INR 1500 from Mumbai Airport to Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Campus, Pune.
  • The transport cost will be USD equivalent to INR 800 from Pune Airport to Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Campus, Pune.
