An imperative judicial and administrative mechanism fostering multilateral cooperation, cross- border protections in the name of Europol is scrutinized in this article. Separation of Powers can become a hindrance for the effective functioning of Europol due to several overlaps from similar agencies like Schengen, CEPOL. In addition, the customary principles of International law, which establishes domestic criminal procedure as superior to international agencies is another concern emanating in the Europol agencies. This increases the need to widen the scope of Europol convention to increase the mandate of Europol.
